Tour Overview

Students will learn from some of Nepal’s most innovative farmers at the Royal Beach Camp!

Visit with the local farmers who grow organically and experience the Nepalese Way of Life! For student groups, the daily schedule typically includes morning yoga and stretching, project work, team-building activities, and relaxation/reflection time with the group.

The students can come find adventure in the mountain ranges of Nepal and learn real-world farming and restoration work techniques to help grow crops in tough environments! Students will learn about Permaculture Techniques that help crops thrive in harsh climates, and develop team building, leadership, and critical thinking skills!

Students Will Also:

  • Enjoy activities like rafting, kayaking, or canyoneering
  • Dive into farming and restoration work
  • Develop a final project for presentation to the group
  • Work a Tree Plantation to learn about sustainability
  • Experience Kathmandu for shopping and sightseeing
  • Finish the trip with a celebratory BBQ on the Beach!

EXAMPLE ITINERARY

  • WEEK 1 – Focus: Introduction & Sustainability

    Day 1 – Arrival to Kathmandu. Transfer to The Royal Beach Camp to settle in.

    Day 2 – Introduction to your leader, the team, daily schedule and the camp. Introduction to one of our activities: rafting, kayaking or canyoneering.

    Day 3Daily schedule starts*. Introduction to some of our team building games and join another one of our activities.

    Day 4 – Training hike to local peak (2100 m) and sustainability workshop.

    Day 5 – Sustainability work through tree plantation the participant is both helping to restore and protect local ecosystems but also compensating for their air travel and transportation in Nepal.

    Day 6 – Introduction to Focus Project**. Group talk to set the plan for farming, restoration work and development project the coming two weeks.

    Day 7 – Rest day.

  • WEEK 2 – Focus: Farming, Learn & Share knowledge

    Day 8 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 9 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 10 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 11 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 12 – Visit local farmers who grow organically. Learn and share knowledge.

    Day 13 – Visit local farmers who grow organically. Learn and share knowledge.

    Day 14 – Rest day.

  • WEEK 3 – Focus: Finalising development project & Reflection

    Day 15 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 16 – Farming, restoration work or development project.

    Day 17 – Finalising the development project according to daily schedule.

    Day 18 – Finalising the development project according to daily schedule.

    Day 19 – Present your development project to the team. Feedback session and time for packing. Let’s celebrate your time with us over a campfire BBQ on the beach!

    Day 20 – Travel to Kathmandu. Personal time for shopping or short sightseeing.

    Day 21 – Departure.


    *DAILY SCHEDULE – Participants work alongside our experienced team and have one assigned leader.

    06:30 – 07:00            Morning meeting.

    07:00 – 08:00            Breakfast.

    08:00 – 12:00            Activity or work project.

    12:00 – 13:00            Lunch.

    13:00 – 17:00            Project work or activity.

    17:00 – 18:00            Tea & coffee. Meeting & debrief.

    18:00 – 19:00            Dinner.

    19:00 – 22:00            Story telling with the team.


    **FOCUS PROJECT
    – Participants chose a Focus Project in Week 1.

    This could be Farming, Restoration Work or a Development Project.
